Hello Friends,

Lots to update. Upcoming:

First off, I am in a two-person
show<http://ablefineartny.com/bbs/board.php?bo_table=g02_b01&wr_id=56>
with
Sun-Me Lee at the Able Fine Art Gallery in Chelsea that opens this
Thursday, 11.17. Please come to 511 W 25th St. Suite 507, 6-8pm and share a
glass of wine with me and see the largest and highest resolution print ever
made by me and the Electric Sheep, plus animated works.

My piece Generation 244 has been on display in the courtyard at LACMA since
August, and will be up through January. Thanks to the Center for Visual
Music <http://www.centerforvisualmusic.org/> for curating my work into this
exhibit. I am pleased to announce that this edition of two recently sold
out, with one going to Carnegie Mellon University to be installed in public
in the Gates Center for Computer Science, and the other to a private
collector here in NYC. I have started work on Generation 245, if you are
interested in making a reservation, please contact me.

My award-winning fulldome piece The Firebird from 2007 will be shown at the Off
and Free Film Festival <http://offandfree.blog.me/> in Seoul Korea this
week and next.

I donated a copy of Clade 1 <http://scottdraves.com/clade.html>, my 1080p
blu-ray loop, to Flux Factory's art
auction<http://www.fluxfactory.org/events/artauction2011/> 12.20.
Come and bid on it for a great cause!

We're making T-shirts again, just in time for the holidays. Plus, we're
getting closer to release on our iPad and Android apps. Stay tuned...

And Past:

I was shortlisted as one of ten finalists for the Video and Animation Celeste
Prize <http://www.celesteprize.com/> and showed Generation 244 last weekend
at the Invisible Dog Art Center in Brooklyn.

My art was recently on display at the Singularity Summit and the
Singularity Hub website featured an article about my
work<http://singularityhub.com/2011/10/11/electric-sheep-stunning-visual-creatures-spawned-by-thousands-of-computers-while-they-sleep/>;
around the same time I was
interviewed<http://thecreatorsproject.com/blog/user-preferences-tech-qa-with-scott-draves>
for
the Creator's Project blog and the Triangulation
Blog<http://www.triangulationblog.com/2011/01/scott-draves.html>.
Alex Gaylon created a brief video documentary
<http://vimeo.com/27688359> about
the Electric Sheep.

This past summer I completed a commission for the state-of-the-art Adler
Planetarium and visuals of my work there were featured on the front page of
the Chicago Tribune A&E
section<https://picasaweb.google.com/103341545636445568670/PressKit#5621615321480941986>
.

Best,
Scott Draves
