Hi Everyone,
Exciting news on multiple fronts this month.
I am delighted to announce the release of two new works of art, Blue
Universe 243 and Red Universe 243, each an edition of four. Priced
at $2200, these works tell the story of the universe from big . The pieces
are self-contained ready-to-hang "paintings", flat screens housed
in custom black frames sized 21.5" x 15" x 3". Solid state electronics run
loops of approximately 21 minutes in 720p high resolution. To learn
more, visit http://scottdraves.com/framed-sheep.html
These works will debut this Saturday, February 27th at my upcoming
gallery opening in Pittsburgh. The Michael Berger Gallery (see
http://www.michaelbergergallery.com/ ) has me in a two-person show
with Cheonae Kim starting Saturday and continuing through April 3rd.
There is a champagne
reception with a performance by the Fauré string trio tomorrow from
2-5 pm.
I've been curated into a Hybrid Art show, sponsored by Lexus, in
Moscow April 1-7. Although I'm still waiting for them to send the
plane ticket I've been told I am confirmed. I've never been to Russia
and it sounds like fun. The address is: 109012, Moscow, Vetoshny
sidestreet, 13-15, open 11:00 - 24:00 (50 meters from Red Square!)
On a personal note, I'd like to announce the launch of my latest
creation, Alexander Walcott Draves, 6 lbs 12 oz, 21 inches, on
February 18th at 5:14pm. Alas my family cannot come to the
opening but if you do I'll tell you all about them and show you
pictures :)
Yours, -Scott
