Greetings and welcome to a new season. I have a brief update for you.
First, upcoming events:
This Thursday in Brooklyn, NY I will be showing a visual musical
symphony created with Dreams in High Fidelity and Electric Sheep,
accompanied by a live improvisational music performance featuring
musicians Zach Layton, Shelley Burgon and Michael Evans. Location is
at Issue Project Room, 232 3rd Street at 8pm.

Carnegie Mellon 's School of Computer Science recently commissioned a
new artwork from me to be displayed in their new computer science
buildings, the Gates Center for Computer Science and Hillman Center
for Future-Generation Technologies. The building opens on September
22 - of course, as a leading donor Bill Gates will be there for the
grand opening, which coincides with the G20.

Finally, my work "Lost Sheep" has been curated into the Art in Odd
Places show along 14th Street in NYC the month of October. Stay tuned
for more news on that exhibit, which will take place in several
storefronts.
Second, what I've been up to:
At the end of March, my Dreams in High Fidelity was featured in the
Film Festival of the Three Americas in Quebec, Canada
(http://scottdraves.com/speaking.html) and the Electric Sheep was in
Generativa in downtown Sao Paolo Brazil
(http://scottdraves.com/shows.html).
On May 1 2009 I released my new work for Blu-Ray disc, "Clade 1". $900
each in an edition of 50, with 44 remaining, "Clade 1" is a series of
6 related designs featuring a common ancestor, a trefoil shape. The
designs morph smoothly one to the next and play back in true
high-definition on your own equipment. The perfect gift for someone
who has everything, Clade 1 comes wrapped in an attractive box with
artist's signature and holographic authenticity seal.
In mid-May I launched my new website, http://scottdraves.com. The
website features wearable art -- t-shirts with favorite sheep printed
all over the fabric, which have been selling briskly. Prints are also
available on the website in editions of 4, with pricing from $85 and
up.
This list has been inactive while my web server situation was redone,
and now that the dust is settling I hope to communicate a bit more
regularly. Please note the new subscription control page below.
Thanks for your attention,
-Spot
