Hi all,

Some brief news to report on past and upcoming events.

But first, in the event you are in the market for an excellent holiday
gift may I recommend one of my limited edition prints (edition of four
per piece)?  Currently priced at $85/12", $350/24" and $660/36", the
prints' cost will increase to $170, $500, and $880 respectively on
December 15, 2009.  Custom sizes also available.  Buy them at
http://scottdraves.com/for-sale.html, where you can also find my
exclusive all-over print t-shirts and Blu Rays.

I'm looking forward to heading down to Miami during Art Basel to
participate in a show featuring New York artists and hosted by Ad Hoc
Art, AE District, and Eastern District.  I will be showing Dreams in
High Fidelity I and II (projected and on flat screen) and one digital
print. Location is the Moore Building/Miami Design District – 4040 NE
2nd Avenue, Suite 103.  Dates:
December 3, 2009 | 12PM to 5PM – and opening night party 7-11PM - I
will not arrive until Friday
December 4 and 5 | 11AM to 7PM
December 6 | 11AM to 5PM  – and closing night party 7-11PM

Google invited me to make a theme for their new Chrome web browser,
the results are featured on their site among the likes of Casey Reas, Jeff
Koons, and Jenny Holzer:

They liked it so much they are now using the "Golden Thistle" image in
their ad compaign all over the web: http://draves.org/blog/archives/000644.html

During the month of October, my work "Lost Sheep" was featured in the
Art in Odd Places show ( http://artinoddplaces.org/ ), a festival
along 14th street in Manhattan that specializes in placing art where
it's not expected.  This year's theme was "Sign", and my piece was
three installations of Electric Sheep, which occasionally showed a
hidden message inviting viewers to report finding the
"lost sheep" to me for a reward.  The winning respondent, chosen at
random from all who participated, received a 24" mounted signed print.

At the end of September, I attended the invitation-only Gadgetoff
event, a daylong "celebration of technical and artistic innovation".
I was asked there in order to show my copy of "Generation 243", a
piece commissioned by the Carnegie Mellon University School of
Computer Science for the new Gates and Hillman Centers. See
http://gadgetoff.com.

The installation of "Generation 243" was a hit. Bill Gates himself
couldn't keep his eyes off it. See the press release with quotes
from the Dean and former Chair: http://draves.org/blog/archives/000634.html
and the writeup by the local newspaper:

Thank you for your attention and best wishes for the holidays.
-Scott
